Best of 2006.

Best BookThe Rutting Season by Brian Keene. For various reasons. Buy it.

Best CDs – Scissor Sisters’ Ta-Dah and The Black Angels’ Passover. Ta-Dah has some unbelievably catchy songs and it’s my biggest guilty pleasure of the year. Passover, on the other hand, is a completely different sound, taking it back to 60s war rock. Both fantastic CDs.

Best MovieThe Descent is the first one comes to mind, so I’m going with it. Clerks II is a close second. It was much better than I could have ever expected.

Best DVDFear of Clowns. Goddamn right. Buy it.

Best TV ShowThe Office. Nothing else comes close.

Best Vacation – My California trip. Good friends, good food, good scenery, good times. It was everything I wanted it to be, and more. A shout goes to everyone who made that awesome trip possible. It was easily one of the highlights of my year.

Here’s to hoping that 2007 is as great as 2006 was.

Good friends, good scenery – whatever. I think it was the lingerie coffee shop that made you love Cali so much. Or was that the ‘good scenery’ you were referring to?

I also thought you were referring to the lingerie coffeehouse. I guess that means I secretly want to go there or something?

When you have a chance, could you do me a solid and yousendit the Scissor Sisters to me? No hurry, but it would be much appreciated. I’ve heard good things and I want to check them out.
