On a side note…

On a side note, I added the Disqus plugin to the blog last night. You’ll notice the comments are a little different.

The cool thing is if you are a blogger, you can sign up for an account with Disqus and upload an avatar. Blogs that support Disqus will display that avatar on every blog you comment on (beit blogger, wordpress, etc.)

It’s a pretty nifty tool.

Happy New Year. Just wanted you to know that I have read yr blog for a year–or so– and really enjoy it. Hope the new year brings oodles of entries!

Best, Syb

I don't get it. Login? Is that option only for you? I feel so worthless being unclaimed.

Anyhow, Happy New Years!

Syb, thank you! And happy new year to you, as well. Cool beans.

Snooze, you can still comment as normal (I think), but if you setup a disqus account, you can get the cool little avatar. Plus (at least this is how it works for my wordpress blog, I'm not sure how it works for blogger), you can moderate comments from the discus site, and it looks like you can moderate them from your cell phone.

But, to be honest, I just wanted it for the avatar feature. 😆

And Happy New Years to you!

You could have had the avatar without installing Disqus. Gravatar.com is used for all WordPress blogs. That's why I had an avatar when I commented here.

Disqus is pretty cool though. You can reply to specific comments and it creates a thread instead of one long comment trail.

Nice one. I have stumbled and twittered this for my friends. Others no doubt will like it like I did.
